Visitors to the park are invited on a walk to the cottonwoods in the primitive area of the park to identify birds by sight and sound. This is a slow walk that covers less than one mile of trail.
Hikers should wear appropriate clothing for the weather, including closed-toe shoes, hat, and sunscreen. Please bring binoculars and birding guides if you have them.
NOTE: All hikers need to sign into the primitive area by visiting the park headquarters before the hike. We will meet in the parking lot of the primitive area at the set time.
