Wildlife Habitat Management Workshop

Monthly, first Friday of each month from March thru August. The workshop will begin at the Gus A. Engeling Wildlife Conservation Center with a brief overview and history of the Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area.  Participants will then be taken on a guided tour of the WMA by a wildlife biologist who will explain proper habitat management practices for the Post Oak Savannah Ecoregion.  Topics will include prescribed fire, hardwood timber management, strip disking and other mechanical treatments, harvest management, grazing management and herbicide application. 16149 N US HWY 287 Tennessee Colony, TX 75861
