Bridgeport Fishing Report

Mar 13, 2024
GOOD. Water slightly stained; 60 degrees; 15.37 feet below pool. Fishing patterns are holding steady. The dam and the U.S. Route 380 ramp are best for launching. Beaching is required at both ramps. Sand bass and hybrids are in their spawning pattern. Look in the north end and the entrance to the river. The further you go up the river, keep a close eye out for low water areas. Small minnow imitators have been best. Largemouth bass are very near their spawning time. Look for the warmest water you can find, this is typically on the northern end. Try Jigs and flat billed crankbaits around points and the mouths of creeks and coves. Crappie should be on northern docks with minnow and jigs. Crappie are not up on the banks just yet.
