Many public parks provide bank access to the area's large reservoirs. Small lakes and riverside parks offer additional shore fishing opportunities.

Most waterways contain a variety of fish to catch including largemouth bass, catfish, sunfish and carp. White bass can be found in Lake Georgetown, Granger Lake and the Colorado River watershed. The state fish, Guadalupe bass, also lives in the Colorado. Sites highlighted in this brochure are easy to reach and offer some of the finest fishing in Texas.
