Baylor Lake has good shoreline access but accessible facilities are limited. Camping and picnic sites are available around the lake. Restroom facilities at the north ramp are limited. There is a restroom near the south ramp for campers and anglers.
The 175-acre Childress Lake, approximately one-half mile east of Baylor, is also operated by the City of Childress. This lake has very good shoreline access, one boat ramp and no ADA-accessible facilities. Camping and picnicking are allowed but there are no restrooms, tables or designated camping sites.
