Texas Parks and Wildlife operates one major park and three additional boat ramps on the shores of Choke Canyon Reservoir. The park offers campgrounds, picnic areas, overnight camping, boat ramps, a swimming area, and opportunities for shoreline fishing. Bank fishing is also available at the North Shore Unit, accessible by road from the South Shore. Note: San Miguel boat ramp will be closed February 28–May 12, 2011 due to a road maintenance project..
