This area is experiencing a drought which may affect fishing and boat ramp access. Before you go, check the current lake level or contact the controlling authority for current conditions.
Shoreline access is good, but there are no handicap accessible areas. Picnic and camping areas are available. Entrance fee is $5 per vehicle for a day pass which covers all persons in the vehicle. Annual vehicle passes are available at $60 or $10 for senior citizens. Camping is also available at two state parks located to the south just off Interstate 20.

- Turn into lake park area off FM 1298 and follow road to ramp.
- One-lane boat ramp with parking for 10; ramp may not be usable when lake is low
- Day pass required, $5 per vehicle
- Open all year
