Summary
The purpose of this feature class is to locate artificial reefs in the Texas Gulf Coast. This feature class is a component of TPWD 'base' data. 'Base' data includes current, statewide geospatial information intended to provided context for mapping purposes.

Supplemental information
The point coordinates are obtained from the final surveys by the oil and gas companies who implement the artificial reefs, Location information as well as all other attributes are entered into an Microsoft Access database, which is then exported to an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet was plotted in ArcMap 10.1 via XY coordinates and all attribute information was retained as a feature class.
