Mason Mountain WMA

Guided Hunts

Hunter With Harvested Gemsbok

Since the acquisition of Mason Mountain WMA, guided hunts for native and exotic wildlife have played a major role in the operation and funding of the area. From the inception, these hunts have been well accepted and supported by hunters. Due to past success we will continue to offer these "once in a lifetime" hunts until populations are reduced to acceptable levels.

Hunters selected for these hunts need bring only their weapon, clothing, and a camera full of film. All meals, lodging, and on site transportation are provided. No hunt or trophy fees are ever added. So, if selected, you will get a hunt of a lifetime for $10.00. And if not selected, it is good to know your $10.00 application fee goes directly into the operation and maintenance of Mason Mountain WMA.

Applications and instructions on how to apply for guided hunts on Mason Mountain WMA can be found in the annual TPWD Applications for Drawings on Public Hunting Lands booklet. The booklets are available at most TPWD field offices or can be obtained by calling TPWD in Austin at 800-792-1112.
