| 2012 | Since the 16th Annual Birding Classic is an informal event, the dates will be flexible. Teams will be birding throughout the month of April. Check team listings to see what day or week each team chooses to participate. |
| April 11, 2012 | There are no registration fees for the 2012 event, but to have your team listed along with members' names and species totals, please email the Nature Tourism Manager with your official team registration by this date to receive recognition on the Birding Classic website and Facebook page. |
| May 14, 2012 | All teams' final checklists due to the Nature Tourism Manager. You can email your team's checklist as an attachment or mail a hard copy to TPWD – Birding Classic, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, TX 78744) |
| ** Seventeenth Annual Great Texas Birding Classic - 2013 ** | |
| Dates to be Determined for April 2013 | TPWD will be working with a planning committee made up of past Birding Classic participants, supporters, and sponsors throughout 2012 to re-envision the framework for the 2013 event. Updates will be posted online as decisions are made. Preliminary plans include taking the event statewide so that teams can participate throughout Texas. Stay tuned for more details as decisions are made! |
