Past Years' Highlights

Since the Great Texas Birding Classic started in April of 1997, it has grown tremendously every year. Competition for the Conservation Cash Grand Prize has been fast and furious, and so far $150,000 has been donated directly to avian habitat conservation on the Texas coast. With each year we have more teams competing, a larger variety of sponsors coming on board, and an abundance of bird species seen.

We hope that in time the Classic will continue to grow and, through the winning teams, donate even more to habitat conservation.
