Commonly known as Nearctic-Neotropical Migratory Birds, Migratory Landbirds breed in temperate latitudes (like Texas) but winter in tropical latitudes (such as Mexico and further south).

Some species only pass through Texas during migration on their long journey north in spring and again south in fall. The location and diversity of Texas results in extensive use of resources by these birds as they travel through the area. As conscientious landowners and citizens, we must take care of the land to ensure healthy habitat for these birds.
