Who is Eligble to Apply?

Research proposals on these topics are encouraged from university personnel and other qualified researchers from public (governmental) and nonprofit organizations. Primary applicants may include U.S. city, county, state or federal government agency, public institution of higher education or nonprofit organizations. Primary applicants must be in good standing with the Texas Comptroller and TPWD Accounting, regarding business and contracting practices. Partners (secondary applicants, cooperators or collaborators) include private individuals, corporations, organizations or foundations. Partners are considered subcontractors of the primary applicant.

'Wildlife Research' depends upon competent motivated cooperators and partners. TPWD intends to foster continued collaboration and reliable results with our partners through reasonable, equitable, and clear processes and procedures. However, we have statutory, fiduciary and ethical responsibilities to the people of the State of Texas for efficient use of limited public resources. The requirements in these guidelines must be consistent with relevant laws, policies and customary accounting procedures.
