Texas Whooper Watch Workshop

3:00-5:00 p.m. Free. Texas Whooper Watch seeks the help of birders in identifying Whooping Crane migration stopover sites and non-traditional wintering areas, in assessing whether any hazards exist to whoopers at these sites, and in learning more about behavior and habitat use at these sites. This program will introduce this new Watch program and explore how you can get involved. Participants may also opt to participate in a volunteer workday at the TNC preserve on Saturday or remain in the area to participate in the Mad Island Christmas Bird Count on Monday.
