Buntings and Cardinals!

The bill of the painted bunting and northern cardinal is thick and cone-shaped. It's as strong as a nutcracker and perfect for breaking open sunflower seeds. Both cardinals and buntings search the ground and shrubs for a tasty meal of berries, bugs and large seeds.
