- Consider all of your responsibilities
- Know the area you are going to hunt
- Plan your hunt
- Be prepared and know your limitations
- Develop a good relationship with landowners and managers
- Never use unsafe methods or tactics to approach or attract wildlife
- Never use unsafe methods that place wildlife at an unfair disadvantage
- Clearly identify your target and what lies in front or it and beyond it before you shoot
- Properly care for the meat of the animal
- Respectfully transport the animal home
