Cleaning a Muzzleloader
Black powder is very corrosive and guns
require cleaning after each day's use.

Remove barrel from stock

Immerse breech of barrel in hot, soapy water. Swab the barrel with a patch in a pumping motion until patch comes out clean

Wipe the barrel dry with a dry patch and lightly coat with bore lubricant
4
Dismantle action and brush parts clean
5
Use nipple pick to clear flash hole and/or nipple
6
Wipe the gun down and reassemble
