The Three W's
Where you are going
- Draw a map
- Be specific
- Notify if plans change
Who you are with
- List names
- List contacts
- Give descriptions/photos
When you are returning
- Be specific
- Allow for delays (but not too much time)
- Set "alarm" times
File your trip plan with someone at home and someone in the area you are hunting. List emergency contacts in both areas.
