Texas Parks and Wildlife welcomes you to Caprock Canyons State Park, home of the official Texas State Bison Herd.

Beginning in November 1997, a monumental conservation and preservation project was initiated by the State Parks and the Wildlife Divisions of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. From those efforts a new era of a western legacy was begun.

Caprock Canyons State Park provides the ideal setting for showcasing this unique, natural, cultural and historical resource.
