Game Wardens are commissioned police officers, and often work in cooperation with local Sheriff departments.
Duties include enforcement of game and wildlife laws, environmental laws, enhancing public safety and assistance in educating the public. Interested candidates can request to "ride along" with a game warden to see what this career is like.
Cadets must first graduate from the rigorous Game Warden Academy.
Game Warden Training
Game wardens can be found in cars, trucks, boats and on horseback. Wherever laws must be enforced, game wardens find a way to be there.
