To Discuss:
How do tools of then differ from tools today?
Has anyone ever built something for your school or community that has lasted
a long time?
Visit a state park near you -- was anything built by the CCC? Discuss the
design of the buildings and structures. Why were they built with that design?
Why have they lasted this long?
Is there something you could do for your community?
Tell us what you think! Answer one of the questions above, something of

I will bring Americans together to strengthen communities.
Faced with apathy, I will take action.
Faced with conflict, I will seek common ground.
Faced with adversity, I will persevere.
I will carry this commitment with me this year and beyond.
I am an AmeriCorps member, and I will get things done.
