Survival How-To: Making Fire
Dave demonstrates the steps involved in making fire, one of the most important life-saving skills in the desert - and then there's Steve's version...

Use two sticks, a string and a surface to hold ashes. Create a bow.
Holding one stick upright and firmly in a depression on another surface, vigorously "saw" with the bow. You should get warm ashes in the depression.
Feed it with tinder and lightly blow to get a flame going.
You can also use a magnifying glass to start a fire
