These California students are searching for the authenticity of the William P. Huff diary. Along the way, Texas students joined them on the quest.

My name is Aidee. I like Hershey's candy and soccer. I live in California.

Hello my name is Ali. I live in California. I am very excited to be going
on this wagon train. THis trip may be extremely long for me, since I will
be on it for one month, but I am looking forward to pleading William P. Huff's
case.

I am funny and make people laugh. I like to play a lot of sports. I love to eat food that's good. I like to make new friends. Ashley

I'm 14 years old. I play basketball, softball, volleyball, and run track.

I am in the 8th grade in California. I enjoy sports such as soccer, football,
basketball, baseball and track. My favorite foods are pizza, biscuits and
gravy and fruit. Our teacher, William Coate, is my grandfather.
This educational project is a partnership venture of Madera Unified School District, Madera, California; the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department; the Texas Historical Commission; and the many generous and gracious communities along the route.
