Conservation Timeline –
Past…Present…Future?
Overview:
Have students research various milestones for aquatic and coastal conservation issues for Alaskan waters and the Gulf of Mexico and organize the information into a timeline.
After students have constructed a timeline with past and present events, have them do projected timelines of two possible futures, one where conservation issues are ignored, and one where it is embraced. Compare and discuss the outcomes.

- Use timeline-generating software to add more features to the timeline.
