Hundreds Participate in Challenging, Scenic Bike Fest 2013

LAJITAS—More than 300 riders logged hundreds of miles along various trail routes through Big Bend Ranch State Park for the third-annual Chihuahuan Desert Bike Fest, as one of the country’s premier mountain bike ride tours came to a close today in the rugged mountains of southwest Texas.

Trail rides ranged in length from a short, 7-mile kid-friendly ride, to the grueling 58-mile EPIC Ride through rocky terrain, canyons and mountain landscapes. All rides were guided by trained state park staff and expert volunteers.
