Caption/Information: Scientists from Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and Texas Tech University collect endangered minnows impacted by drought on the Double Mountain Fork of the Brazos river near Rule, Texas Thursday, September 15th, 2011. Habitat for endangered smalleye shiner and sharpnose shiner has dwindled to small intermittent pools in the rapidly drying river. The fish will be transported to the Possum Kingdom fish hatchery where they will be kept for restocking later.
