FORT DAVIS— The 39 guest rooms at Indian Lodge at Davis Mountains State Park will close for renovation starting Sept. 5 until early 2018. The Black Bear Restaurant and the assembly room will remain open throughout the closure.

Renovations to the site includes new heating, ventilation and air conditioning, roof repair and exterior plaster coating.

“These updates will be beneficial to the preservation of Indian Lodge so that it can be enjoyed and experienced by families for years to come,” said Indian Lodge site superintendent Karen Sulewski.

Most of the parking lots at the lodge will still be available, as well as the gift shop and restaurant.
