Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center to Close for Repairs

Closure planned for December 13—20, 2010

ATHENS—The Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center Visitor Center and casting pond are scheduled to be closed December 13—20 to protect the safety of the public during installation of energy-efficient heating and cooling equipment.

The Hart-Morris Conservation Center will remain open for private scheduled events during this time; however, no one will be permitted access to any other part of the facility and grounds, and fishing will not be allowed in any of the streams and ponds.

Those attending private scheduled events in the Hart-Morris Conservation Center will be admitted through the Peninsula Point entrance; the main entrance and the entire center will be closed to the general public until TFFC reopens at 9:00 a.m. December 21.

Any change to the schedule will be posted on the TFFC web site at www.tpwd.state.tx.us/tffc; you may also call (903) 676-2277 for information.
