TPWD News Release — Nov. 10, 2010
In the past few weeks, the typically showy maples have shown some change, with trees that displayed early fall color already dropping leaves due to the Texas Hill Country’s warm and dry fall weather.
Park Superintendent John Stuart says the color this weekend and next week will be “good, but brief.”
He reminds leaf-peepers that major traffic backups are expected this weekend on the highway leading to the park, so bring lots of patience or try to visit during a week day.
