Devils River State Natural Area - Fees
Note: Information and prices are subject to change. Please call the park or park information (1-800-792-1112) for the latest updates. The daily entrance fee is charged in addition to any facility fees, unless otherwise stated. A Texas State Park Pass will allow you and your guests to enjoy unlimited visits for 1-year to more than 90 State Parks, without paying the daily entrance fee, in addition to other benefits.
Entrance Fees:
- No entrance fees are charged at this park. Camping is by reservation only. Reservations must be made 2 days in advance. No processing of camping fees is available at this park so Texas State Park Pass discount coupons are not valid at this park.

Camping and facility stays are by reservation only. Reservations and payments must be made at least 2 days in advance. This Park is unable to accept payments of any kind. Web reservations are not available for this Park, you can make E-mail, Fax or Phone Reservations.
Camping:
Maximum 8 people per campsite unless otherwise noted. Applicable daily entrance fees are charged in addition to the campsite or facility fee.
7 - Primitive Campsites (4 people per site) - These are
drive-up sites with no shade. Self contained pop-ups, trailers, and motor
homes are okay. All trash generated must be carried out of the park:
$10 per night, per site
4 - Primitive Paddle-in Campsites (4 people per site) - These sites are only for canoers and kayakers who have come down the river from Baker's crossing. All trash generated must be carried out of the park:
$20 per night, per site
Group Barracks (Capacity 10) - Facility has 5 bedrooms with
2 single beds in each room. Each bed is reserved separately. There is no kitchen
in this facility (check the Group Dining Hall below for kitchen facilities.)
All trash must be carried out of park by customer. Customer must provide all
bed and bath linens. No pets allowed if you are staying in the Group
Barracks:
$25 per bed (1 person per bed), per night
Day Use Only Facilities:
Group Dining Hall (capacity 20) - Facility has a kitchen
with stove, microwave, refrigerator, cooler, and 2 restrooms without showers.
This facility is 100 yards from the Group Barracks. No pets allowed
in the Group Dining Hall.
$65 per day
Notes:
- Beginning September 1, 2011, the Park will be open from 8 a.m. Friday - 5 p.m. Monday. The gate will be locked from 5 p.m. Monday - 8 a.m. Friday. Primitive campsites by the river are available 7 days a week for paddlers who have come down the river only; permits are required. All camping & facility stays are by reservation only. Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This Park is unable to accept payments of any kind. Note: In addition to their regular schedule, the Park will also open the Tuesday & Wednesday before & after New Years (12/27-29/2011 & 01/03-05/2011), & will extend their schedule during Spring Break & Thanksgiving holidays.
- All visitors should be aware that the park is accessed by a county road, Dolan Creek Rd. (a rough gravel surface 22 miles from Highway 277.) Recommended tires should be of 8 ply rating minimum to prevent flats and blowouts. Nearest service station is 25 miles away and is NOT open all the time. The nearest full service station is 65 miles away in Del Rio.
- There is no Access to Dolan Falls from the park. Access to Dolan Falls is through the Nature Conservancy of Texas only.
- The park is a put-in point (no take out) for canoes and kayaks only (no motorized boats). The nearest take out point is about 10 miles downriver from the Park and only outfitters are allowed to take boats out on these private lands. Lake Amistad is about 32 miles downriver from the Park, no cost to take boat out there.
