Note: Information and prices are subject to change. Please call the park or park information (1-800-792-1112) for the latest updates. The daily entrance fee is charged in addition to any facility fees, unless otherwise stated. A Texas State Park Pass will allow you and your guests to enjoy unlimited visits for 1-year to more than 90 State Parks, without paying the daily entrance fee, in addition to other benefits.

Camping

Maximum 8 people per campsite unless otherwise noted. Applicable daily entrance fees are charged in addition to the campsite or facility fee.

Note: Customers will need to bring their own drinking water, water provided is for horses only.

3 - Walk-in, Developed (tent) Areas, are located along the creek. West Verde Creek Area (maximum 50 yards in) has 3 sites. Comanche Bluff Area (maximum 25 yards in), has 3 sites; one site has a capacity of 12, 2 sites have a capacity of 8. Chaquita Falls Area (maximum 75 yards in), has 4 sites with a capacity of 8 each. Sites have fire rings, picnic tables, and are along West Verde Creek which offers swimming and moderate fishing opportunities. There are chemical toilets nearby.
$10 per campsite

1 -Equestrian Group Camping Area ("Chapas camp with barn") - Facility is a 2 acre complex near swimming hole. Has a large barn with a concrete floor, stalls for 9 horses, picket lines, 12 electric hook-ups, water troughs, 2 fire rings, 2 large picnic tables, and shade trees. Chemical toilets are in the area. Maximum capacity of 20 trailers.
$150 per night.
Note: In the event that the Chapas Group area is not reserved by a group there are 10 individual electric only hookups which are available at $25 per night. These sites are non-reservable and are all first-come, first-served.

1 - Group Lodge with a Kitchen. Facility sleeps 9 people and is available to equestrian and non-equestrian users. Facility is a 1930's ranch house with 4 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen with stove & refrigerator, 4 single beds, 3 full-sized beds, fold-out couch, heat, & A/C. Detached cook shack with a covered BBQ pit, picnic table, & fire ring. No linens or cooking utensils provided. stalls/corrals for equestrian use, accommodates up to 5 horses. No pets are allowed in the lodge. Tents are allowed outside the lodge. Customer is responsible for cleaning the lodge after use.
$250 per night (+ hotel tax).

6 - Developed Equestrian Sites (4 persons per site capacity). Known as "Trailhead Equestrian Camp", this facility has picnic tables, fire rings, a chemical toilet in the area, corrals, and water for horses. These have access to a 50-mile trail system.
$15 per campsite

3 - Backpack (Primitive, designated) Camping Areas have fire rings and are located 1.5 to 3.5 miles from the trail head parking - Butterfly Springs (capacity 8), Wilderness Camp (capacity 40), and Hermit's Shack (capacity 40). These sites are non-reservable and are all first-come, first-served.
$10 per 4 people

The Bar-O Developed Equestrian Area (4 persons per site capacity) - Also used as the day-use parking area (capacity 25 rigs), located across from the park headquarters in a 6-acre shaded area with a water trough, a wash area, and fire rings, and have a flush toilet, and a security light. This area is non-reservable and are all first-come, first-served.
$15 per campsite.

Excess Vehicle Parking (All types of trailers with sleeping quarters will count against the two vehicle per site limit.) - $5
Excess Occupancy Fee - $5 per person per night over site limits, when approved by the park.

Notes

No person may enter a state park with an equine or equines, or cause the entry of an equine or equines to a state park, unless that person has in their immediate possession, for each equine in the person's custody or equine that the person allowed to enter the state park, a completed VS Form 10-11 (Texas Animal Health Commission) showing that the equine has tested negative to an official Equine Infectious Anemia test within the previous 12 months. The documentation required by this subsection shall be made available for inspection upon the request of any department employee acting within the scope of official duties.
