- Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Copano Bay Fishing Pier - Operated by the Aransas County Navigation District
Operational control of Copano Bay Fishing Pier was transferred to the Aransas County Navigation District on November 1, 2005.
- Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.

- Fort Lancaster State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Fort McKavett State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Fulton Mansion State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Governor Hogg Shrine - Operated by the City of Quitman
- Jim Hogg - Operated by the City of Rusk
- Kerrville-Schreiner Park - Operated by the City of Kerrville
- Lake Houston Park - Operational control of Lake Houston Park was transferred to the City of Houston on August 25, 2006.
- Landmark Inn State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Magoffin Home State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Matagorda Island - Was transferred to the Wildlife Division of TPWD and is currently a Wildlife Management Area.

- Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site - Operated by the City of Port Isabel
- Rusk & Palestine Parks - Operational control of the Rusk and Palestine State Parks was transferred to American Heritage Railways on September 1, 2007.
- Sabine Pass Battleground State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- San Felipe State Historic Site - The 80th Texas Legislature transferred operational control of this to the Texas Historical Commission effective January 1, 2008.
- Sebastopol House State Historic Site - Ownership and management of Sebastopol House has been transferred to the City of Seguin effective September 1, 2011.

- Texas State Railroad - Operational control of the Rusk and Palestine State Parks was transferred to American Heritage Railways on September 1, 2007.
