Animals of the Gulf Waters
Great barracuda
Sphyraena barracuda
Great barracudas are built for the hunt. Long and sleek, they have dark backs, silvery sides and white bellies which make them difficult to see around reefs and wrecks in the open Gulf.
Barracudas also come equipped with a wide mouth and long, sharp teeth for when they catch their prey.
