Hall of Fame Nominations
Individuals or organizations that have made a lasting contribution to freshwater fishing in Texas may be nominated through February 29, 2012 for induction into the Texas Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. To submit a nomination, download one of the forms below or or call (903) 676-2277 to request a form by mail.

Rules
- Anyone may nominate an individual or organization that they feel has created a lasting, beneficial impact on fishing in Texas.
- Nominee must be a Texas resident or organization based in Texas.
- Individual nominees can be living or deceased.
- Nomination forms are limited to three pages and the overall nomination packet (including pictures and supporting documentation) is limited to twenty pages.
- Nomination packets must be postmarked on or before the deadline to be considered.
Selection Criteria
Nominations will be reviewed by an independent selection committee made up of media and industry professionals from across the state. Nominees will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Ethics
- Leadership/Commitment
- Unselfish contributions to the sport
- Fishing/fisheries management expertise and impact
Typically, one nominee will be inducted each year and honorable mention given to the runner-up in each category. At the discretion of the selection committee, more than one (or none) of the nominees may be selected in any given year. In the event of a tie, the inductee will be chosen by majority vote of the committee.
