The Park will be closed to the public on the following dates in order to conduct wildlife management activities. Only drawn permitted hunters will be allowed in the park during these dates.

Monday, December 17, at 10 p.m., until 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 20.

Nature

Contrasting seasonal colors of terrain and the lake, sunsets and pine forests are breathtaking. Abundant bird and wildlife species and woodland plants offer excellent opportunities to observers. Crappie, largemouth bass, white bass and several species of sunfish are present in good numbers, with quality-size fish available for recreational anglers. Catfish - channel, blue, and flathead - are also available in large numbers.
