<p>Start the New
Year off right with a hike in the woods. Discover life in our unique pine
forest of Central Texas, and see some of the areas up close that were impacted
in this past year’s historic wildfire, the worst in state history. Hike is one
mile, easy-to-moderate difficulty. Participants may want to bring hiking stick,
sturdy shoes and drinking water. &nbsp;<span class="Apple-style-span">Meet at the kiosk by the park playground.</span></p>

Work is moderately difficult and will require bending, carrying buckets of mulch and walking long distances. Appropriate for ages 10 and up. Reservations are required by 5PM the day before. Please email or call Katie at (512) 718-0211 or katie.raney@tpwd.state.tx.us. UPDATE: This event is currently full; however, we are accepting requests to be placed on a waitlist.</p>
