a guided tour of the Battleship TEXAS, entering areas rarely seen by the
public! Bring a flashlight or headlamp, wear old comfortable clothes, rubber
sole shoes and bring a camera if you wish. <strong>There will be four
three-and-one-half hour tours beginning at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3
p.m.</strong> A limited number of tour slots are open to anyone 13 and older by
reservation ONLY. Please be prompt for your reserved tour time and be ready to
climb up and down ladders exploring the ship! Suggested minimum donation of $30
(cash or check ONLY made out to the Battleship TEXAS Foundation) due the day of
the tour; reservations required, No credit cards are accepted. For more

<li>You will be asked to bring your family's food for the two-day event and a suggested list of items will be provided via email. </li>

<li>You will receive a confirmation packet with directions and more details will be sent to you via email after you are registered for a Texas Outdoor Family workshop. </li>

Launched, May 18, 1912 the Battleship TEXAS is released from its building facility to float on its hull in the water. At 2:00 there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and a cake to be enjoyed by all. This will be the second of three celebrations. The first event was to celebrate her Keel being Laid back on April 17<sup>th</sup>, 1911 and the third will be her Commissioning date of March 15<sup>th</sup>, 2014.</p>]]></content:encoded>
