The Papalotito Colorado Campsite has some of the most amazing views Big Bend Ranch State Park has to offer. Drinking your morning coffee while viewing the daunting La Mota Mountain to the northeast, with the ever expansive countryside as a backdrop for its majesty is truly an experience to be cherished. Then, as if that’s not spectacular enough, picture eating dinner and watching the shadows of the sunset over the Bofecillos Vents, the remnants of an enormous volcano that was integral in shaping this region.

Be it sunrises or sunsets, the distant sound of cattle, or the rustic windmill for which the site is named, Papalotito Colorado is certainly a campsite worth visiting. Up to eight persons with a three-vehicle limit.
