<p>Hike through the hills and
valleys surrounding Cooper
 Lake, which are covered
with large oak trees and numerous other plants and animals. Hike will be
approx. 3 miles. Park entry fee of $3 per person, 13 years old and older apply.
Participants will want to wear hiking shoes or boots, and layered clothing to
accommodate weather conditions, bring water and a walking stick. &nbsp;Meet at&nbsp;<span class="Apple-style-span">Coyote Run
Trailhead.</span></p>

<p>Enjoy a guided
hike through trails covered with large oak trees and other native plants, where
folks can catch a glimpse of wildlife that inhabits the woods. A one mile (½
hour), and three-mile (1 ½-hours) hike will be offered. &nbsp;Go with the
group,&nbsp; or come out anytime during the
day and hike the trail on your own. Hikers should bring sturdy shoes, drinking
water and a hiking stick. Park entry fees apply. &nbsp;Meet at&nbsp;<span class="Apple-style-span">Shoreline Nature
Trail, Doctor’s Creek Unit.</span></p>

What would you do if the power went out and you had to navigate the old way, by compass. Learn about the compass and how to use a compass. After the talk you will go out on a little course and try your skills out-orienteering. Compasses will be provided for your use during the program. Ages 6 and up are appropriate for this program. Children under 13 must have an adult present. Excellent for Boy Scouts and Girl Scout merit badges. Accessible for the visually and hearing impaired. <h3>Fees</h3>

<li>$65 per family (up to 6 individuals) - includes all entry and camping fees. </li>
<li>You will be asked to bring your family's food for the two-day event and a suggested list of items will be provided via email. </li>

<li>Call 512-389-8903 and ask to speak to one of our <strong>"Texas Outdoor Family"</strong> customer service representatives Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. &ndash; 6:00 p.m. They can answer any questions you might have. </li>
<li>You will receive a confirmation packet with directions and more details will be sent to you via email after you are registered for a Texas Outdoor Family workshop. </li>
<li>Please note that all reservations and full payment must be made at least three business days in advance of the workshops. All fees are non-refundable.</li>
