<p>Welcome in the New Year at Daingerfield State Park. On this two-mile guided
hike, you will learn about the flora and fauna of the legendary Pineywoods of
East Texas as well as the role your state parks plays and other outdoor
recreational opportunities play in maintaining physical fitness and overall
well being. Participants will want to bring sturdy shoes, a hiking stick and
drinking water.&nbsp;<span class="Apple-style-span">Meet at the entrance
trailhead of the Rustling Leaves Nature Trail.</span></p>

<ul><li>Call 512-389-8903 and ask to speak to one of our <strong>"Texas Outdoor Family"</strong> customer service representatives Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. They can answer any questions you might have. </li><li>You will receive a confirmation packet with directions and more details will be sent to you via email after you are registered for a Texas Outdoor Family workshop. </li><li>Please note that all reservations and full payment must be made at least three business days in advance of the workshops. All fees are non-refundable.</li></ul>

All necessary equipment will be provided while you discover a game that can be played almost anywhere. &nbsp;Take the skills home with you and join in on the fun using a Smartphone Application or your own handheld GPS.<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Live a happier and healthier lifestyle by getting outside and venturing down the beautiful trails that our state parks have to offer.</p>
<p>No reservations are necessary. The event is free to the public but general park entry fee still applies.</p>
<p>All ages are welcome to attend; However, children under 13 must have an parent or guardian with them.</p>
<p>Meet at the Amphitheater</p>

The 2 mile guided hike will begin at 11:00 am at the park amphitheater located across from the park store.
