Fort Parker State Park

Nature

The park is located along the Navasota River where the grasses of the Blackland Prairie mingle with the woodlands of the Post Oak Savannah. Wildlife frequently seen in the park includes bluebirds, ducks, herons, migratory waterfowl, coyotes, raccoons, squirrels and bobcats. Popular fish include crappie, bass, catfish, and trout in season.
