The Park will be closed to the public on the following dates in order to conduct wildlife management activities. Only drawn permitted hunters will be allowed in the park during these dates.

Friday, November 30, at 2 p.m., until 2 p.m. on Friday. December 14.

Directions:

The park is located in Uvalde County, 31 miles north of the town of Uvalde, 9 miles south of Leakey, and 8 miles north of Concan, on the Frio River. From U.S. Highway 83, turn east on FM 1050 for 0.2 miles to Park Road 29 to the new entrance.

    Maximum Capacity

    On summer weekends and some holidays, the park may reach maximum day-use parking capacity and will occasionally close. The park reopens when sufficient parking is available.

    Have alternate plans if you arrive and the park is closed. Capacity closures do not affect customers with reservations.

    Summer Dances

    In summer, the nightly dance reaches maximum parking capacity and access is frequently closed, sometimes as early as 8:30 p.m.
