The Park will be closed to the public on the following dates in order to conduct wildlife management activities. Only drawn permitted hunters will be allowed in the park during these dates.

Sunday, December 9, at 10 p.m., until noon on Thursday, December 13.
Sunday, January 13, 2013, at 10 p.m., until noon on Thursday, January 17.

05/05/2011 - Due to drought, the park has instituted water conservation measures. No horse washing is allowed until further notice. Please plan accordingly.

Group Lodge with a Kitchen

Facility is a 1930's ranch house with four bedrooms, sleeps nine people and is available to equestrian and non-equestrian users. Facility also has 1 bath and a kitchen. A detached cook shack with a covered BBQ pit, picnic table, and fire ring. No linens or cooking utensils provided. Stalls/corrals for equestrian use, accommodates up to five horses. Tents are allowed outside the lodge. Customer is responsible for cleaning the lodge after use.

Equestrian Group Camping Area

  • Number of Sites: 1

Known as the "Chapas camp with barn", facility is a two acre complex near swimming hole. Has a large barn with a concrete floor, stalls for nine horses, picket lines, 12 - electric hook-up campsites, water troughs, 2 fire rings, 2 large picnic tables, and shade trees. Chemical toilets are in the area. Maximum capacity of 20 trailers. Note: In the event that the Chapas Group area is not reserved by a group there are 10 individual electric only hookups which are available at $25 per night. These sites are non-reservable and are all first-come, first-served.
