The Park will be closed to the public on the following dates in order to conduct wildlife management activities. Only drawn permitted hunters will be allowed in the park during these dates.

Tuesday, December 4, at 10 p.m., until 2 p.m. on Friday, December 7.
Tuesday, December 11, at 10 p.m., until 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 15.

Directions:

The park is reached by taking U.S. Highway 90 west out of Uvalde, then taking Ranch Road 674 north of Brackettville for 22 miles. Look for signs on the highway. The gate is 0.25 miles past the Edwards County line on the west side of the highway. More detailed directions may be obtained when visitors call to make reservations.

Entrance Fees
  • Adult : $3 Daily
  • Child 12 Years and Under: Free
Schedule

The park is open for day use and overnight visitation, Friday through Monday. The park is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Unauthorized entry into the caves at the park is prohibited.

Office Hours

Fees are collected at the main office, 3.2 miles down the main paved road, during office hours.

An Iron Ranger is located near the entrance for collection of after hour entrance fees.
