Events http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us daily 1 2009-07-27T23:18:03Z First Day Hikes http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/calendar/first-day-hikes-11 Join Park Interpreter David Owens on a wild walk, crawl and scoot through some of the most remote areas of beautiful Penitentiary Hollow. This is a strenuous walk involving some crawling through tight spaces in rock cracks, crevices and short caves. Expect to get dirty! The distance is less than a mile, the duration is 1 ½ to 2 hours, and the walk is fairly strenuous with easier route options around obstacles. Long pants, long sleeves and hiking boots are recommended, as is a hiking stick and drinking water. Walk is limited to 20 participants.  Meet at park headquarters.
