Lake Texana State Park

Lake Texana State Park is now under the management of the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority. The park is open and ready for guests under the new name, Texana Park & Campground. Reservations can be made by calling the Texana Park & Campground office at (361) 782-5718.

Nature

The park is located in the flat Gulf Coast vegetational region, but the majority of the parkland consists of mixed oak and pecan woodlands associated with the Navidad River. White-tailed deer, squirrels, rabbits, armadillos and raccoons are numerous, and there are occasional sightings of bobcats and turkeys. Alligators are found in the park coves and should not be approached or fed. Popular fish include crappie, catfish and white bass.
