The Corpus Christi Astronomical Society will host a Star Park at Mustang Island State Park. Bring your own telescope or look through one of ours as we explore “where no man has gone before”. The Corpus Christi Astronomical Society will share their telescopes and knowledge about the night sky on Saturday, April 20th at 8:00pm.  The event will start with a discussion of how to look at the night sky as well as some of the prominent constellations that are out that night.  Then it’s on to the telescopes to get up close with the planets and galaxies.

Meet at the beach access parking lot and watch your headlights.  Park on the right (south) side of the parking lot and walk to the north side where the event will take place.  A flashlight covered with a red filter will allow you to see without disturbing your night vision.
 

Evenings on the beach can cool off quickly so dress accordingly.
