Palmetto State Park

August 2, 2013 - The Park will be closed sometime this month in order to repair roads. The Texas Dept. of Transportation will be conducting the repairs and has not given an exact date of when they will begin, therefore the park is not currently accepting on-line reservations for the month of August. You must contact the park directly, in order to make an overnight reservation for August. The Park is currently open for day use visitors. We apologize for any inconvenience and will add more information as soon as it is available.

Directions:

To reach the park, travel 10 miles northwest of Gonzales on U.S. Highway 183 to FM 1586, then west on FM 1586 for 2 miles to Ottine, and south on Park Road 11; or go 6 miles southeast of Luling on U.S. Highway 183, and then southwest on Park Road 11 for 2 miles.

    • Adult: $3 Daily
    • Child 12 Years and Under: Free
    Hours

    Open 7 days a week year-round.
    Gate is locked only when the park is closed for emergencies.

    Office Hours

    Open 8:15 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. daily; closed from noon – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

    Busy Season

    Overnight guests are advised to make reservations at least 2 to 3 weeks ahead of time from March to November.
