Equestrian Campsites

All horses must have a negative Coggins test less than 12 months old. These sites are for campers traveling with horses only, and the maximum number of people and horses combined is eight per site. This is an open camping area that has some picnic tables, fire rings, and two water faucets. Four joined horse pens are first come, first serve. Each horse pen can hold up to two horses. Customers may bring portable panels. No electricity in this area.

Primitive Drive-up Campsites (Tent only)

These tent only campsites are in the Cactus or Fortress Cliff areas. Water is in the campground, but not at each site. Showers are 1/2 - 2 miles away.

Primitive (Backpack) Camp Areas

  • People per Site: 4

Walk-in at least 1/2 mile from the parking area. No designated sites. You must pack out all of your trash. No open fires are allowed in the area. Containerized fuel stoves are allowed for cooking. No drinking water is in the area; you must bring your own. Restrooms and showers are 1/4 mile from the trailhead.
