Texas State Parks offer plenty of opportunities for amazing photographs and outdoor family fun. Whether you capture the look on your child's face after she catches her first fish, a magnificent sunset from a historic overlook, or a surprise encounter with wildlife, you're sure to bring home treasured photographs -- and memories. 

Texas State Parks Photo 2013 Contest Winners Announced!

Texas Parks and Wildlife staff selected the top three winners based on composition, creativity, and overall impression. They are: 

Golden Moment

 

1st Place: J. Labrador with his/her photo titled “Golden Moments”, taken in Lake Livingston State Park, wins the GoPro Hero3 Black Edition camera, courtesy of Whole Earth Provision Company.

 

 

Handstand on Little Rock

 

2nd Place: Jonathan Vail with his photo  titled “Handstand on top of Little Rock”,  taken in Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, wins the Camping Weekend for 4-6 persons at the Texas State Park or Natural Area of his choice.

 

 

 

 

3rd Place: Paul Pruitt with his photo titled “Altamira Oriole”, taken in Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, wins a Texas Outdoor Family Workshop for 6 persons.
